SportSpired Games is an international game studio developing next-generation sports simulators. Our team includes professionals with experience at Wargaming, The Walt Disney Company, Ubisoft, 343 Industries, Starbreeze, Sperasoft, MY·GAMES and EA Sports. We are working on an ambitious AAA title scheduled for release in 2028–2029.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing gameplay animations for the action genre that deliver vivid, fluid, and realistic movement.
- Creating animations that align with gameplay and mechanics requirements.
- Integrating animations into the game engine.
- Participating in shaping and supporting the recording and integration processes of motion capture animations in collaboration with the Lead Animator.
- Processing, cleaning, and integrating motion capture data into Unreal Engine 5.
- Refining captured animations to ensure high quality and realism.
- Collaborating with motion capture directors, programmers, designers, and other team members to ensure consistency and seamless animation integration.
- Participating in discussions and decision-making to enhance animation quality and gameplay.
Requirements
- Over 4 years of professional experience in the game industry as an animator.
- In-depth knowledge of realistic humanoid and facial animation, including principles of motion, weight, timing, and expression.
- Experience with Motion Capture: data processing, cleanup, and enhancement.
- Experience creating gameplay animations for action games, ensuring realistic and dynamic movements of humanoid characters.
- Strong grasp of dynamic movement in action, fighting, or sports games, and how to translate it effectively into animation.
- Knowledge of and ability to work with MetaHuman.
- Proficiency with animation tools such as Maya, MotionBuilder, Blender, or similar.
- Experience with rigging systems.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and departments.
- Ability to provide realistic time estimates and consistently meet deadlines.
Nice to have
- Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine 5, with a solid understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
